ARRI Alexa

A superb digital motion picture style camera. Used on features (The Life of Pi and Skyfall, among others) and tv dramas. I used it briefly on Our Sacred Honor.

Sony Cine Alta Cameras

An extremely cost effective member of Sony’s CineAlta lineup, the PMW-F3 inherits DNA from the F35, which has been used for years in high-end digital cinematography, as well as most of the features and file-based workflow capabilities of PMW-EX1R and EX3 XDCAM EX solid-state memory camcorders.

This is an awesome camera. Used last year to shoot with Presidential Candidate Newt Gingrich. Looking forward to using the F5 and F55 soon.

RED CAMERAS

The camera that started a revolution in digital cinema. With over 5 times the resolution of an HD video camera, the RED ONE has earned its rightful place as the successor to 35mm film acquisition.

I used a Red One on some Washington. D.C. b-roll shooting for Rendezvous With Destiny and in Poland for Nine Days That Changed the World. Amazing images. And I recently used the new Scarlet-X in Washington D.C. shooting for a documentary on the Occupy movement.

CANON DSLR CAMERAS

The Canon EOS 5D and 7D were also game-changers when first introduced. They’re still great, and have been used to shoot features and episodic television. I used them on A City Upon a Hill and America at Risk.
